Curriculum overview

The orientation is the first event for the Flex Course Graduate School. The orientation provides an explanation on how to take such classes as the Flex Course Graduate School’s Value Creation and Career Design courses.

2.Startup Camp
Students discuss, consider, and give presentations on global leadership in a training camp format. Furthermore, this is an opportunity for new students, upper-level students, and instructors to communicate with each other.

3.Special Symposium
This is a symposium to recruit new examinees. Here, current students share their experiences with the prospective examinees. The symposium includes lectures from people active globally, making it a useful event for current students in addition to the prospective examinees.

4.Mid-Term Report
Students give presentations to outside teachers (professors for University – Industry Collaboration) regarding what they learned over the year and receive advice. Some of the advice can be quite critical, and students are given the opportunity to reconsider their student lives and to grow further.

5.QE Certification Award Ceremony
This is a ceremony to present students with a certificate proving they have passed the QE to complete the master’s course and proceed to the doctorate course. While this is the equivalent of a master’s completion ceremony, it is part of the consolidated five-year program and thus students do not receive master’s degree qualifications.

6.Graduation Ceremony
The first class of students are scheduled to complete their doctorate course and receive their degrees in 2017.
