On 9 November, the career and job hunting seminar for students aiming for doctor’s degree was held in Yonezawa campus, which was delivered by a video conference system to Kojirakawa campus. In addition, iFront student studying in Germany for overseas internship also participated in this seminar through Skype.
In the lecture session, we invited Prof. Matsuzaka from the career support center in Yamagata University as a lecturer, who talked about the information of the current situation of the doctoral students’ job hunting and the points required from recruiters. In the panel discussion, the three iFront students (5th year grade), who succeeded in getting a job recently, participated as panelists and discussed tricks, traps, and advice based on their experiences.
Not only the doctoral course students but also students who are thinking to go on doctoral course participated in this seminar and they seemed to be a trigger to consider their future career through the active discussion.
